Growing up in NYC my neighborhood was a canvas for street art. Studying architecture I learned to appreciate getting lost in the making of something. My inspirations come from many creative fields: the vantage point in film or photography; the composition in graphic design; textures in fashion and in my years of experience in architecture and interior design the art of creating a space.

My technique is driven by a series of overlays between mixed media (acrylic paint, graphite, compound, spray paint) where the painting evolves in different stages of composition at times increasing the layers of paint before and after masking fields based on feeling of intensity I am looking for.

In my current series Lifescapes I am drawn to creating each painting as a snapshot, whether an act, a thought or a specific moment in time. The composition is an interplay between a spatial environment and literal objects representative of our time and lives.
